As a Senior Manager in Capital One’s Retail Banking and Premium Products Risk Office, you will apply your analytical and delivery skills to our Business Continuity Program spanning, business continuity, crisis management and resiliency requirements. You will partner to develop and lead Risk solutions in a manner that supports innovation and protects our customers, shareholders, and associates. You will partner with peers and senior leaders, second and third lines of defense, as well as lines of business to drive organizational change in order to better manage the Company’s risk in an open, collaborative environment.
Retail Banking and Premium Product Risk professionals are experienced, well-trained, and progressive individuals that operate within a highly collaborative team environment to deliver value-added risk services to our business partners. The Senior Manager will be a highly-motivated Risk Management professional with excellent leadership, analytical, planning, collaboration, and communication skills. This role will support Retail and Premium Products line of businesses maintaining business continuity requirements (plan management, testing requirements, technical exercise requirement, reporting requirements, crisis plan management and overall strategic alignment to second line driven program requirements)
Responsibilities:
This role supports the Retail Banking and Premium Products Risk horizontal program governance for Business Continuity Management. Specifically, this role will:
Provide program leadership and support for Business Continuity, Crisis Management and Resiliency efforts
Lead testing requirements to ensure all areas of Business Continuity testing requirements are adequately met (workplace and workforce strategic testing, third party application and service provider testing, third party functionality testing, and technology testing oversight)
Oversight of Business Continuity reporting requirements
Oversight of control and event/issue management to include identification, tracking and mitigation plans
Provide oversight to Resiliency Testing of our owned technology applications
Provide Audit and Exam management support
Lead overarching program maturity in alignment to the Enterprise Business Continuity Standard and Policy to include crisis management oversight
Partner with other Line of Business Risk offices, second Line Risk Management functions and other appropriate stakeholders and partners
Set direction, manage expectations and lead cross-functional teams
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or military experience
At least 4 years of experience in Process Management
At least 4 years of experience in Risk Management
At least 7 years of experience supporting and partnering with internal business clients
Preferred Qualifications:
7+ years of Project Management experience leading cross functional projects or programs in Risk
7+ years of Financial Services risk management experience
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or Masters Certificate of Project Management (CPM)
8+ years of partnering with a cross-functional set of partners and influencing across an organization
